I semi-recently started making some books. This page shows the 6 books I have designed up to date, and they are each available for purchase.
The first book I made was in 2006 called "My Summer Job : Visually." It is a book of a collection of scrap papers I saved during my summer job of 2006. I find it interesting to look back and see how my thought process works, how my ideas arise, and what steps it took me, visually, to reach my goals in my job. Like a writer jots down words, and sentences when they have ideas, me, and other artists doodle our ideas on paper. If you think about it, we are able to read doodles the same way we read text, which is why i thought I would save all my scraps and put them all together in a book.
After that first book, I made my other 5 books, 2 of which are font books displaying the 2 fonts I designed :. Theberge and Emmka. The other 3 books are an illustration book, a Sudoku challenge book, and my favorite, a hardcover 210 page book called "Pointless." I made this book to be the perfect book for me, and people like me. When I go into book stores, I look at the pictures, and the layout of books, I hardly ever actually read them. I like to see interesting books, so I figured I'd make a book that you don't have a lot to read, and don't even have to read if you don't want to, to get an idea of what the book is about. It is to show off my ability as a graphic artist. It's mostly visuals of my own art, with text incorporated. So if you are like me in the book stores, I suggest you buy this book, as it will keep you very interested.
Check out my 6 books below, and buy them if they peak your interest. |
I enjoy making design-based books, rather than word- based. The design on each page tells more of a story than words can ever express.
